Alpine Aerotech is currently seeking a highly motivated Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME-M) Apprentice to join our rapidly expanding team in Abbotsford.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER APPRENTICE
  • Work under the supervision of a certified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to learn and perform maintenance related tasks including but not limited to:

    • Carry out maintenance on rotary wing aircraft and components;

    • Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections;

    • Troubleshoot;

    • Repair and perform function tests of various systems;

    • Use appropriate manuals as required;

    • Service, tow and operate ground equipment;

  • Demonstrate capability to understand and perform various technical functions associated to aircraft;

  • Assist in the management of inventory;

  • Assist in the maintaining of shop equipment;

  • Be prepared to apply safe work practices with proper PPE;

  • Fulfill additional duties as required; and

  • Uphold an unwavering standard of excellence that impeccably represents the Alpine Aerotech brand.

OUR MUST HAVES
  • Graduation from a Transport Canada accredited Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME-M) program;

  • Valid driver’s license;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to generate high quality deliverables;

  • Strong time and project management skills and self-motivation;

  • Robust interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and professional maturity with demonstrated ability to effectively interact and build professional relationships;

  • Awareness of the sensitivity of information received and appropriate handling; and

  • Know what it means to work smarter, not harder.

COMPENSATION & TOTAL REWARDS

Aerotech’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. Our comprehensive and competitive total rewards package includes: dental, extended health, life insurance, AD&D, short- and long-term disability, Employee & Family Assistance, and an RRSP matching program.

The range for this role is $21.00 to $23.00 per hour.
