About Us

Since 1978 Air Inuit has been providing scheduled, charter, cargo, and emergency air transportation services in Nunavik and beyond, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through the Makivvik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of over 35 aircraft ranging from a De Havilland Twin Otter 300 Series to a Boeing 737 200, 300 and 800 and employs over 1000 employees in one of the most challenging flight environments.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform work on aircraft as outlined by applicable Inspection Instructions, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins or other approved schemes in accordance with accepted practices and ensure that such work is carried out in accordance with the applicable portions of the MPM;
• Ensure that all items of work are recorded and signed out as required on the applicable Maintenance Control forms;
• Maintain in good order the AMO facilities, such as shop, store, library and its surroundings;
• De-icing of aircraft; and
• Carry out any other assigned duties as directed by the Senior Base Engineer.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• A valid M1 & M2 license. Preference will be given to those holding 737-200/300/400/500/600/700/800, DHC8, B300, DHC6 endorsement. (If not already holding these endorsements, Air Inuit will provide the necessary Type courses);
• Have successfully completed the qualifying exam for AMO certification privileges;
• Be familiar with the appropriate parts of the MPM, MCM, aircraft operations specifications and maintenance manuals necessary for the performance of his/her duties;
• Applicant must be able to work autonomously and have good organizational skills.
  
  
  

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Accommodations, meals, work clothing and travel between Montreal and YGL/YPX are provided
• 3-week rotational schedule
• *This position is split between LaGrande and Puvirnituq.

Compensation

• Salary and benefits are determined in accordance with the corporate policy.
• Hourly entry salary - $46.94

• External candidates holding endorsement on [Dash 8 100/300] [and/or Boeing 737] are eligible for a one-time signing premium of $5,000 CDN [for each of those endorsements] .
