The Aircraft Log Controller (ALO) reports directly to a Control Centre Supervisor and is based near Halifax International Airport.
- Maintain paper and digital aircraft logs, records, and customer reporting systems according to established procedures.
- Safeguard aircraft logs upon aircraft induction.
- Review logs for accuracy and completeness; initiate actions on expired equipment, modifications, inspections, and instructions.
- Collect data, prepare reports, and maintain documentation.
- Assist personnel and customers with aircraft log-related matters.
- Help develop procedures and directives for the Log Control Section.
- Coordinate with outside agencies for processing samples and other documentation.
- Liaise with the Customer Log Control Section regarding aircraft logs/records.
- Ensure logs are complete and accurate before returning to customers.
- Generate and release log control responses as directed.
- Provide training and mentorship to other team members.
- Participate in training for skill or personal development.
- Handle filing, record keeping, and detailed log entries.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
What You Will Bring:
- High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education related to aerospace is a plus.
- Experience with aircraft maintenance and technical records is advantageous.
- Typing speed of at least 30 WPM.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with JD Edwards or similar enterprise systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of the ADAM system is highly desirable.
- Ability to learn new software and technical terminology.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Teamwork-oriented mindset.
- Understanding of maintenance impact on aircraft and customer safety.
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Successful completion of an IMP aptitude test.
- Eligibility for Canadian Controlled Goods Program, Secret Level II Security Clearance, and Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
