Job summary

Inland Deicing Services, LLC is hiring an Aircraft Fueler to safely fuel and defuel aircraft at the airport ramp. You will operate fueling equipment, verify fuel type and quantity, and communicate with flight crews to meet schedules.

The role requires attention to safety, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and compliance with aviation procedures and documentation practices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Perform aircraft fueling and defueling operations.
  • Ensure correct fuel type and quantity per specifications.
  • Communicate with flight crews, ramp agents and dispatch.
  • Follow safety procedures and conduct equipment inspections.
  • Complete fueling tickets and maintain documentation.

Reporting from 13 Alexander Graham Bell Dr, Reserve Mines, NS, this role operates fueling equipment, ensures accurate fuel delivery, and maintains high safety standards while working in a fast-paced airport ramp environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):Aircraft Fueling OperationsPerform aircraft fueling and defueling using fuel trucks or hydrant systems.Ensure correct fuel type and quantity are delivered according to airline specifications.Communicate with flight crews, ramp agents, and dispatch regarding fueling requirements.Safety and ComplianceFollow all aviation fuel safety procedures and airport ramp safety regulations.Conduct pre- and post-fueling equipment inspections.Use grounding and bonding procedures to prevent static discharge during fueling.Report fuel spills, equipment issues, safety hazards, or operational concerns immediately.Equipment OperationSafely operate fueling trucks, hydrant carts, and other fueling equipment.Perform routine checks on fueling equipment and vehicles.Ensure fueling equipment is properly maintained and stored after use.Report mechanical issues to supervisors or maintenance teams.Documentation and Record KeepingAccurately complete fueling tickets and operational documentation.Verify fuel orders and record delivered quantities.Maintain compliance with operational recordkeeping standards.Customer Service and CoordinationMaintain professional communication with airline representatives and flight crews.Coordinate with ramp operations to ensure timely aircraft turnaround.Support efficient ground operations by meeting scheduled departure timelines.To accomplish any other tasks that may, from time to time, be assigned by management.Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDValid driver's license with ability to operate fueling vehiclesAbility to obtain airport security clearance and required certificationsRequired Skills and Competencies:Successful completion of all classroom and on-the-job training.Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel and Outlook).Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.Ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment.Good communication and teamwork skills.Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and unit conversions, to accurately determine fuel quantities and complete fueling documentation.Ability to follow procedures and documentation requirements.Read, write, speak and communicate effectively in English.Work Environment:Outdoor airport ramp environment with exposure to varying weather conditions.Shift work including nights, weekends, and holidays.Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Physical Demands:Ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 75 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds regularly.Frequent standing and walking on airport ramps for extended periods during shifts.Ability to climb ladders and access elevated aircraft fueling points, including wing fueling panels.Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain, wind, snow, heat, and cold.Good vision and depth perception to safely operate fueling equipment and vehicles.Ability to hear and respond to radio communications and ramp safety warnings.The Inland Group of Companies is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees without discrimination based on protected grounds under applicable legislation.To Learn more please visit \"join-our-team\"The Inland Group of Companies offers a variety of opportunities to work in the field of aviation.
