Job summary

Voyageur Aviation Corp. is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to perform line maintenance on company aircraft in Ottawa, ON. You will dismantle, troubleshoot and repair airframes and systems, ensuring airworthiness under Transport Canada regulations and company policies.

Ideal candidates hold a TC-approved Aircraft Maintenance College diploma and an AME licence (M1), with 3+ years of relevant experience and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Requires college diploma in Aircraft Maintenance and valid AME licence (M1).
• Experience with King Air 200 is preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle airframes, engines or systems for repair, inspection or overhaul and reassemble to airworthy standards.

Explore your next role:

The Aircraft Certification Authority (Ottawa, ON) is responsible for performing or monitoring maintenance on company aircraft in accordance with the Maintenance Control and Policy manual and Transport Canada Regulations.

Perform Line Maintenance Duties

• Dismantle airframes, aircraft engines or other aircraft systems for repair, clean, inspect and/or overhaul, reassemble components or airframes to the highest standard of airworthiness.
• Troubleshoot aircraft’s structural, mechanical, or hydraulic systems to identify problems and adjust/repair systems according to specifications, technical drawings, manuals, and established procedures.
• Ensure Aircrafts are maintained in accordance with company and Transport Canada regulations
• Ensure all Maintenance tasks are completed correctly and on time
• Repair more complex and comprehensive defects without direct supervision of the repair being worked on
• Carry out and coordinate the inspection, maintenance, and repair of company aircraft and related systems.
• Report to dispatch, Maintenance Manager and Site Manager, (if applicable), on issues that affect the serviceability of the aircraft
• Troubleshooting more complex system defects (fuel system, flight controls, hydraulic systems etc.), aircraft defects and carry out corrective action as required
• Release maintenance work post audit of maintenance work in accordance with applicable Company and Transport Canada policies/regulations

Maintain Aircraft Airworthiness Standards

• Ensure that safety policies and procedures are followed
• Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, and the safety of co-workers and customers.
• Attend training courses as directed by the company
• Complying with Canadian Aircraft Regulations (CARS)
• Actively participate in Voyageur’s Safety Management System including report hazards and incidents encountered during daily operations.

Other Related Duties

• Planning and performing aircraft maintenance IAW published procedures.
• Hangar and office duties including housekeeping, shipping receiving, inventory replenishment, snow removal, and other assigned duties.
• Maintain tool control
• Maintaining the work area in a neat and tidy condition.

Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success:

• College diploma in Aircraft Maintenance from a Transport Canada approved educational institution.
• Valid AME licence (Category M1) Required
• Experience preferred King Air 200
• Minimum three (3) years of experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Complete tasks accurately and efficiently with a high attention to detail.
• Capable of working under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
