This is your chance to swap the desk for the skies in a one-of-a-kind full-time opportunity that puts you in a helicopter , flying over the stunning Lower Mainland every weekday!

As an Airborne Traffic Reporter , you’ll be the voice guiding commuters through the morning and afternoon rush on two major radio stations , all while experiencing Vancouver like never before—from the air! If you have a passion for live reporting, breaking news, and high-adrenaline storytelling, this is the job for you.

Responsibilities

  • Fly daily in the Air Patrol chopper to report on traffic patterns, accidents, and breaking news as it unfolds in real time.
  • Research and monitor traffic and construction activity impacting commuters.
  • Use the latest tech tools to deliver accurate, compelling live reports.
  • Coordinate with ground crews and radio affiliates while representing CTN on-air, online, and in the community.
  • Be part of a tight-knit, safety-first team that thrives on collaboration, professionalism, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of on-air experience in radio, TV, or a related field (traffic / news reporting preferred).
  • A broadcast-related diploma or degree (an asset).
  • Strong familiarity with Vancouver’s roads and traffic patterns.
  • Comfort with broadcasting tools and audio editing software.
  • Technical troubleshooting skills and a proactive attitude.
  • A reliable way to get to and from Boundary Bay Airport .
  • Status : Permanent, full-time

    Schedule : Split shifts (morning & afternoon commutes)

    Location : Based at Boundary Bay Airport
