Job Description

We are hiring an Airborne Mission Systems Technician for our customer site in Trenton, supporting the MAISR In-Service Support Program.

This long-term program, in partnership with Voyageur Aviation, provides maintenance and engineering services for the Royal Canadian Air Forces’ Beechcraft King-Air 350 aircraft and ground training devices, including airworthiness, program management, flight safety, maintenance, material management, technical publications, and engineering support for modifications. Services are provided at 8 Wing, Trenton, Ontario, and deployed internationally as needed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the primary SME for Team CERTAS regarding the MAISR PME, including Mission Management System, PTT, and SIL.
  • Developing and managing personnel, processes, and tools for high aircraft availability maintenance.
  • Providing training, coaching, and support to Voyageur Aviation AMEs and technicians.
  • Supporting internal and external customer interactions and the Fielded Systems Support Services team.
  • Maintaining relationships with WSM, OEMs, and other stakeholders for PME elements of the MAISR aircraft.
  • Staying informed on future upgrades and enhancements.
  • Collaborating with teams on training, configuration, and support matters.
  • Representing Team CERTAS in meetings with OEMs and customers, including reports and presentations.
Qualifications
  • Diploma as an Information Systems Technician, Avionics Technician, or equivalent.
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity and networking.
  • Team leadership and collaboration experience.
  • Experience with military or defense projects.
  • Experience working with FSRs, AMEs, or aircraft maintenance technicians.
  • Strong customer relations skills.
  • Ability to resolve technical issues, including in SIL environments.

Assets:

  • Knowledge of project planning and control.
  • Understanding of Transport Canada or FAA Airworthiness Certification regulations.
  • Familiarity with DND Airworthiness Program and Technical Airworthiness Manual.
  • Deep knowledge of aircraft installation, sensor integration, and ISR sensor systems.
  • Experience in field conditions, installation, retrofit projects.
