YOUR ROLE

To offer expertise in freight forwarding to internal and external clients. Establish and develop relationships with clients, as well as optimize customer service.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Ensure client satisfaction and maintain relationships with clients (i.e. key accounts and new clients).
  • Optimize customer service through quick, efficient, courteous service, and information exactness.
  • Partner and engage with the sales department to prepare and present products and services offered as well as assisting in creating SOPs for all new clients
  • Partner and engage with the department supervisors to implement and service new clients
  • Develop and maintain relationships with carriers/suppliers to ensure the best possible rates
  • Responsible for quotes/RFQs/RFIs for respective clients and modes of transport
  • Assist the department /product supervisors in different areas
  • Ensure to follow ISO procedures put in place.
  • Visit clients
  • Resource person for technical information.
  • Complete required training courses including but not limited to the Good distribution of pharmaceutical products (if supporting the vertical health care).
  • Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor/manager

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Education and Experience:

  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in international freight forwarding

Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of different modes of transport.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office environment.
  • Business acumen; ability to communicate very well in English, both orally and written
  • Strong leadership; integrity; excellent judgment.
  • Ability to negotiate; problem resolution

Characteristics:

  • Team spirit; good decision-making; strong communication skills and emotional intelligence.
