Job summary

Element Technical Services in Red Deer, AB is seeking an Air Can Operator / Transport Driver to join our logistics team. You will drive and operate the tractor and pneumatic trailer to load, unload, or disperse materials according to dispatch instructions, while adhering to DOT hours of service.

The role requires a valid Class 1 license, H2S and First Aid certs, and the ability to work 14 days on and 7 days off.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and disperse materials with tractor and pneumatic trailer per dispatch.
• Follow DOT rules and hours of service.
• Ability to haul over-dimensional heavy loads is a plus.
• Complete understanding of Air Can procedures.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections for safety and roadworthiness.
• Train and mentor less experienced coworkers.
• Maintain driver logs of working hours and vehicle service.
• Maneuver equipment using appropriate hand signals.
• Attend pre-job safety meetings.
• Ensure compliance with transportation safety and fatigue management laws.
