Job summary

Roofmart, Canada’s National distributor for Exterior Building Supply for Roofing, Siding, Metal and Building Envelope, is seeking an Assistant - Mechanic to perform repairs and maintenance on a fleet of 70+ tractors, booms, cranes, trailers, forklifts, and service vehicles.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 11 AM to 8 PM. Minimum 2 years of experience; mechanical certifications are an asset. Travel on local routes as needed and opportunities for career growth and benefits are offered by Roofmart.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role; mechanical certifications are an asset.
• Experience with laptop troubleshooting software is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Performing repairs and maintenance on the fleet. They may need to travel locally on the road when a breakdown occurs.
• They repair diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• They weld metal (aluminum welding is an asset).
• They complete work and inspection orders in accordance with the company's established standards and procedures.
• They perform any other related tasks as requested.

Effectuer la réparation et l’entretien de la flotte de 70+ tracteurs, booms, grues, remorques, chariots élévateurs et véhicules de service.

Responsabilités :

• Effectuer la réparation et l’entretien de la flotte. La personne peut avoir à se déplacer localement sur la route quand un bris survient.
• Effectuer la réparation des moteurs diesel et les systèmes hydrauliques.
• Souder le métal (expérience en soudure sur aluminium est un atout)
• Compléter les bons de travail et d’inspection en respectant les normes et procédures établies par l’entreprise.
• Accomplir sur demande toute autre tâche connexe à sa fonction
• Horaire: lundi au vendredi de 11h à 20h

Qualifications professionnelles :

• Minimum 2 ans d’expérience sur poste similaire, avec cartes de compétences en mécanique un atout
• Avoir expérience sur laptop programme de validation des trouble un atout
