Job description

Full Time or Part-Time (20 – 40 hours/week)

Athletes in Action (a division of Power To Change) is a ministry that seeks to help people know Jesus and experience His power to change the world through sport, both collectively and individually. Whether staff or volunteers, everyone involved with AIA shares the mission of making a difference through sport. Athletes in Action lives out three Core Values: passionately committed, live in authentic community, and play together.

The AIA Regional Director will collaborate with regional staff, coaches, and volunteers to advance the mission through implementing Action Camps, Action Clubs, and other community-based sports initiatives. While primarily focused on their region, they will also work with Regional Directors across Canada to develop and implement relevant resources and strategies nationwide.

Responsibilities include: hiring and supervising staff and volunteers; managing the operation of camps, clubs, and sports initiatives; overseeing the regional budget; and building relationships with local churches and community sports groups.

As part of the staff, attendance at the bi-annual P2C Staff Conference and the annual AIA Summit is required.

*This position involves Ministry Partner Development, requiring the successful candidate to build a team that provides financial and prayer support for salary and ministry expenses, including benefits coverage.
