About The Opportunity

• Outlier is looking for talented writers with fluency in English to help train generative artificial intelligence models.
• This reading and writing-intensive freelance opportunity is remote with flexible hours, allowing you to work whenever is best for you.

Your Contributions

• Reading English text to rank responses produced by an AI model.
• Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, which may involve research and fact-checking.
• Assessing the factuality and relevance of AI-generated text.

Desired Expertise

• Experience as a professional writer or editor.
• Currently enrolled in or completed a bachelor’s degree or higher in a writing-related discipline.
• Strong writing style, superior English spelling and grammar, and good logic and reasoning skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to clearly explain strengths and weaknesses of texts.

Payment

• Rates for core project work range from $15 to $35 USD per hour in the US, with comparable estimates in other countries.
• Rates vary based on expertise, location, project needs, and other factors. Higher rates may be offered to PhDs or for incentive payments.
