Job Title: AI Solutions Consultant

Term: 6 months – with possible extension

Overview:

The Client is looking for an AI Solutions Consultant to help identify, assess, and deliver practical AI-enabled solutions that address business challenges, improve operational effectiveness, and create measurable business value.

This role will work closely with business and technology leadership to translate business needs into AI opportunities and deliver targeted micro-solutions using existing enterprise platforms, including Microsoft Copilot M365 and other enterprise AI technologies. The consultant will also contribute to the organization’s broader AI roadmap, platform strategy, governance, and adoption approach.

What you will be doing:

• Partner with business and technology leaders to identify high-value AI opportunities and practical AI-enabled solutions.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize high-value AI opportunities – enterprise-wide solutions and micro-solutions – by analyzing business challenges, AI intake requests, emerging trends, use cases, and common capabilities with potential for enterprise-wide adoption.
• Lead the development and implementation of AI-based micro-solutions and enterprise-wide capabilities, ensuring measurable outcomes, scalability, and alignment with organizational priorities.
• Evaluate business challenges and recommend appropriate AI products, platforms, technologies, and implementation approaches to address identified needs
• Develop business cases that articulate expected benefits, costs, risks, organizational impacts, and return on investment for prioritized AI initiatives.
• Develop and roadmap enterprise-wide AI initiatives, including scope, implementation approach, success measures, return on investment, aligned with the IMT strategy and the technology roadmap.
• Define and recommend the enterprise AI platform, architecture, governance, and supporting capabilities required to securely build, deploy, manage, and scale AI across the enterprise.
• Research industry trends, emerging technologies, and leading practices in AI and digital transformation. They will provide recommendations through clear documentation and presentation to enable informed decision-making by Branch leadership.
• Partner with Business Branch Leadership, IMT Leadership, and IMT Program Managers to identify business challenges and opportunities for enterprise-wide AI solutions and AI-enabled micro-solutions.
• Manage AI opportunities’ backlogs, priorities, and stakeholder expectations to ensure timely delivery of business value.
• Assess and prioritize AI use cases based on strategic alignment, feasibility, business value, risk, and organizational readiness.
• Develop business cases for prioritized AI initiatives including expected business outcomes, benefits, costs, risks, return on investment, success measures and expected value realization.
• Lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of AI-based micro-solutions in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
• Define scope, objectives, requirements, success criteria, and delivery plans.
• Assess feasibility, risks, benefits, costs, and implementation considerations.
• Measure performance against defined success metrics and recommend the next steps for optimization and scaling, including integration with enterprise solutions.
• Conduct AI readiness assessments, including data quality, governance, and organizational preparedness.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend AI technologies, products, and platforms that align with business requirements.
• Implement / apply best practices, standards, and procedures, including quality and delivery methodologies.
• Document and provide knowledge transfer sessions to the sustainment team.

Success in this role will require being able to translate complex business challenges into practical AI opportunities and drive innovative solutions.

What you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science / engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in solutions delivery, consulting, business analysis, product management, digital transformation, or technology strategy roles.
• Experience identifying, assessing, and implementing technology solutions that deliver measurable business value.
• Knowledge of AI solution evaluation, implementation considerations, and value realization approaches.
• Knowledge of AI technologies, including AI agents and agentic workflows, AI assistants (e.g., Microsoft Copilot), generative AI, machine learning concepts, intelligent automation and workflows, large language models (LLMS), and prompt engineering.
• Understanding of enterprise AI platforms and services such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI, and other cloud-based AI platforms.
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, privacy, security, and responsible AI principles.
• Knowledge of business process improvement, service design, and digital transformation practices.
• Strong stakeholder relationship management and influence cross-functional stakeholder groups, including executive leadership, business units, and technology teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deliverables.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working under pressure and able to manage simultaneous priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrated superior research, analytical, problem solving, and good judgment skills.
• Ability to learn and apply new technical and business concepts.
• Experience within the public sector, housing sector, regulated industries, or complex enterprise environments is considered an asset.
