Job summary

AstraZeneca in Canada is offering an 12-month internship for an AI Solutions and Automation Intern to help shape Oncology Business Excellence. You will build AI-enabled apps using Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, and other enterprise tools to streamline workflows and improve decision-making.

You will prototype copilots, AI agents, and automations, working with senior leaders to advance OBEX transformation.

Qualifications

Enrolled in or recently completed undergraduate, graduate, or professional program in related fields.
Strong interest in AI, workflow automation, digital transformation, or healthcare innovation.
Comfortable learning new digital tools and translating business problems into structured workflow designs.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
High attention to detail with responsible AI use, data sensitivity and compliance in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

Map and document workflows within OBEX capability areas and identify AI-enabled improvement opportunities.
Prioritize AI workflow use cases based on value, feasibility, risk, and scalability.
Support design and build of workflow solutions, copilots, automations, dashboards, and knowledge management.
Develop prototypes, prompts, agent instructions, workflow logic, and testing scripts for internal use.
Test AI outputs for accuracy, usability, compliance, and fit-for-purpose in regulated settings.
Support adoption and change management with training materials and quick-start guides.
