Job summary

Teledyne Vision Solutions is seeking an AI Software Developer to design, develop, and deploy state-of-the-art artificial intelligence solutions for industrial machine vision applications.

You will work within a multidisciplinary software team to research emerging AI technologies, develop production-quality components, and integrate ML and computer vision algorithms into our inspection and automation products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent experience in AI, CS, or software engineering.
• Good Python programming experience.
• Good C++ development experience.
• Experience on Windows and/or Linux platforms.
• Understanding of ML, DL, data science, and computer vision concepts.
• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.

Responsibilities

• Research, evaluate, and prototype AI/ML computer vision technologies.
• Design, develop, and integrate AI algorithms into machine vision software.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize production-quality software in C++ and Python.
• Implement and maintain automated tests and validation procedures.
• Troubleshoot and improve software components and AI models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, product management).
• Contribute to OCR, image analysis, ML, and inference pipelines.
• Apply best practices: version control, code reviews, testing, continuous improvement.
• Use AI-assisted tools responsibly and validate outputs by testing.
• Occasionally participate in industry events related to AI and machine vision.
