Job summary

Bilinguallink is seeking a Mixed-Methods Research Specialist II to shape AI-powered sign language products from conception to real-world learning feedback. You will bridge user experience, behavioral data, and model evaluation to improve learning systems for Deaf and Hard-of-hearing communities.

The role designs and manages research projects combining qualitative and quantitative methods, interpreting complex data to deliver actionable insights that inform product decisions and model quality.

Qualifications

Minimum 4-year bachelor’s degree in a related field.
At least 6 years of applied research experience in product/technology settings.
Strong qualitative research experience (moderated + unmoderated).
Experience designing and analyzing surveys.
Ability to build and interpret behavioral/product analytics.

Responsibilities

Translate ambiguous product questions into actionable mixed-methods research plans.
Design and execute end-to-end mixed-methods research across AI product workstreams.
Study Deaf users’ communication in real contexts using moderated/unmoderated methods.
Partner cross-functionally to define success metrics for interpretation quality and communication effectiveness.
Design surveys and metrics tracked over time with recurring reporting.
Define behavioral signals with Product and Engineering.
Maintain respectful, transparent, and meaningful research practices.
Communicate findings with focused, decision-driving deliverables.
Set up feedback loops for new features to inform product decisions.
Other duties as assigned.
