Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency seeking an AI Search Optimization Specialist who owns search for a portfolio of B2B and growing-brand clients. You shape the technical roadmap, content priorities and the ranking story when clients ask what moved.

You are the strategic voice at the table, and you make the calls. You will crawl, index, optimize, and report in GA4 and Search Console, collaborating with writers and AI to produce drafts that move the needle.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO with audits and fixes.
• Fluent English with US clients on live calls.
• Experience across multiple client projects in an agency.
• Ability to define technical SEO roadmap and content priorities.

Responsibilities

• Own technical SEO including crawl, indexation, site speed, schema.
• Define keyword strategy and content priorities with writers.
• Improve AI search visibility with Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and other tools.
• Report in GA4 and Search Console, and map quarterly roadmaps for clients.

As AI Search Optimization Specialist you own search for a book of B2B and growing-brand clients: the technical roadmap, the content priorities and the ranking story when the client asks what moved. You are the strategic voice at the table, and you make the calls.

What You Will Own

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Getting clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Links, local search and multi-location SEO where the client needs it.
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console, and the quarterly roadmap for each client.

What You Bring

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO: you have run the audits and made the fixes yourself.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience across several clients at once.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.
