About The Opportunity

• Outlier is looking for talented writers with fluency in English to help train generative artificial intelligence models.
• This reading and writing-intensive freelance opportunity is remote, with flexible hours, allowing you to work whenever best suits you.

You may contribute your expertise by…

• Reading English text to rank responses produced by an AI model.
• Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, which may involve research and fact-checking.
• Assessing the factuality and relevance of AI-generated text.

Examples Of Desirable Expertise

• Experience as a professional writer or editor.
• Currently enrolled in or completed an associate degree or higher in a writing-related discipline.
• Strong writing style, exceptional English spelling and grammar, plus good logic and reasoning skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to clearly explain strengths and weaknesses of texts.

Payment

• US: $15 to $35 USD per hour.
• UK: up to £11 to £27 GBP per hour.
• Canada: up to $20 to $48 CAD per hour.
• Australia: up to $22 to $53 AUD per hour.
• New Zealand: up to $25 to $58 NZD per hour.
• Rates vary based on expertise, location, project needs, and other factors. Higher rates may be offered to PhDs. Rates for initial onboarding or overtime may be lower. Incentive payments may also be available.
