Qualifications

• Fluency in basic animation within Figma; experience with advanced tools like After Effects is a plus.

Job description

Start date: ASAP (strong potential for extension)

As a Product Designer on this team, you will:

1. Utilize your strong interaction and visual design skills to create amazing products and elevate design.
2. Plan and implement strategies that ensure our design work drives customer value and helps us meet our business goals.
3. Document final designs in a point-of-reference / specification, adjust design systems, and work directly with marketing to produce consumer-facing experiences.
4. Identify areas for process, product, or cultural improvements and lead or influence changes accordingly.

Requirements:

• Portfolio for review with design lead.
• 10+ years of experience designing user interfaces for web, software, and/or hardware products.
• Ability to read and synthesize product specifications and generate related design specifications/briefs. When specifications are incomplete, help derive and document missing details.
• Create graphic templates, presentations, process flows, information architecture diagrams, sketches, wireframes, and other artifacts for user experience design.
• Deep understanding of design principles: color, typography, layout, branding.
• Ability to understand technology issues and communicate effectively.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Ability to work under deadline constraints.
• Strong knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS) is preferred.
• Proficiency with design software tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Fluency in basic animation within Figma; experience with advanced animation tools like After Effects is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Graphic Design, or related field; a combination of education and experience may be considered.

Salary Range:

The salary for this position ranges from CAD $100,000 to $160,000 annually, depending on factors such as location, skills, education, and experience.
