Genius AI is hiring across paths for engineers who build AI-powered features and scalable infrastructure to serve thousands of businesses. The role emphasizes ownership, end-to-end delivery, and high reliability in a remote setup within the Greater Toronto Area.

You will work with Kotlin, gRPC, TypeScript/React, AWS, Kubernetes, Postgres, Terraform, and Linear to architect and ship net-new capabilities that move beyond wrappers around existing tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience with production systems ownership.
• Experience shipping AI-powered features or systems, not just using AI-assisted editors.
• Ability to move fast and make decisions without fully scoped tickets.
• Strong analytical instincts for efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
• Entrepreneurial ownership mindset with collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Architect and ship AI-powered features that transform service-based businesses.
• Build and maintain large-scale systems processing billions in payments for 120,000+ businesses.
• Use AI to design, debug, write, and review code with high output quality.
• Own work end to end from design through production with accountability.
• Build scalable platform infrastructure to accelerate product teams.
• Drive architectural improvements when faster paths emerge.
