We are hiring for an AI-ML Engineer to join our growing team at Ampliphi in Toronto!

As an AI Engineer at Ampliphi, you will be at the heart of building the intelligence that powers our pricing platform. This is a hands-on, product-driven role where you'll work across the stack and directly influence how hotels use data to make smarter pricing decisions.

Ampliphi is an intelligent pricing and revenue optimization platform transforming how hotels manage rates. We leverage AI, real-time competitive set monitoring, and automated distribution to drive both revenue and operational efficiency. Our roadmap includes the deep productization of pricing strategies, explainable AI, and portfolio-level insights, and we're looking for a senior engineer who wants to help build and shape the product, not just ship code.

What Your Day Will Look Like

• Own and deliver core Ampliphi product features, from backend architecture to frontend execution
• Work closely with product teams to build user-centric, data-driven experiences
• Integrate with external systems like PMS, OTAs, and channel manager gateways to enrich our pricing ecosystem
• Design, build, and enhance the AI and rules engine that powers pricing recommendations, explainability, and automated strategies
• Contribute to system architecture, evolving our modular, scalable microservice design
• Mentor mid-level developers and influence team best practices to ensure code quality and scalability

About You

Tech Stacks You'll Work With:

• Frontend: React (with TypeScript), Tailwind, Recharts, Next.js
• Infrastructure: AWS (Fargate, Lambda, RDS, S3), CloudWatch, API Gateway
• DevOps & Tooling: GitHub Actions, Terraform (infra-as-code), feature flags
• Integrations: Third-party data providers and hotel tech systems
• Data Layer: Pricing strategy rules engine, competitive set analytics, AI inference services

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience in a fast-moving product environment
• Deep experience with Python-based APIs (FastAPI preferred) and React-based UIs
• Proven track record of building AI-powered product features (pricing, optimization, or machine learning pipelines)
• Strong understanding of modular system design, async jobs, and data flow between services
• Experience working in AWS-native environments (Fargate, RDS, ECS, etc.)
• Strong appreciation for clean UI/UX, thoughtful APIs, and maintainable code
• Ability to collaborate with product and weigh trade-offs between scalability, speed, and usability
• Interest in working on pricing, optimization, and AI-powered workflows
• Product-first mindset - you care deeply about how users experience the system
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• A passion for innovation, technology, and modernizing outdated processes
