Base pay range

CA$60,000.00 / yr - CA$85,000.00 / yr

Location : Remote

Experience : 2-3 Years

Type : Contract (2 months), converting to Full-Time

Annual Compensation : CAD $60,000 - $85,000 (Gross)

Eon Media is looking for a skilled and dedicated AI / ML Engineer (fully hands-on development) to join our core development team. The position begins as a 2-month contract , after which it will convert to a full-time role based on performance. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building backend systems using Python and deploying AI / ML models at scale.

The possibilities of learning and implementing NextGen technologies are endless. This will be a unique career growth opportunity. You will work on real-world applications used by broadcasters and sports organizations across North America.

Must-Have (This is required to succeed in the role)

• 3+ years of Python experience in backend AI / ML development
• Deep understanding of various AI / ML Models (3+ years)
• Proficiency in Containers, Dockers, AWS EC2, S3, Lambda (2+ years)
• Ability to work independently with transparency and accountability
• Dedication and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment

Responsibilities :

• Develop backend solutions using AI / ML Technologies
• Utilize Python and other programming languages
• Develop API-based solutions and enhance the existing solution without using any 3rd party APIs
• Optimize and improve our existing software solutions
• This is not a fixed-schedule role. Extended hours may be required at times, depending on project deadlines, deliverables, and the pace of individual onboarding and learning
• Candidate should be prepared to adapt their working hours to meet critical milestones and team needs.
• Since this is a remote role, regular and proactive communication on work progress, challenges, and deliverables is expected and required
• You may need to handle tasks outside your primary role depending on project needs
• Tight deadlines and fast iterations are part of the workflow
• Compensation is structured for the role as a whole and is not tied to hours worked .
