Purpose of Role: This temporary COOP position, spanning a four-month term from September to December 2025, is designed to support the development of a custom program that evaluates the material state of the Royal Canadian Naval Fleet. In this role, you will work with image-based artificial intelligence models, develop internal tools to streamline survey processes, and enhance quality assurance capabilities. Additionally, you will inspect 3D models of naval vessels to assess their operational readiness and may be called upon to assist with other projects as needed.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years completed.
Proficient with computer software and tools.
Experience with outputs from Artificial Intelligence, familiarity with image models is an asset.
Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
Canadian citizenship, with at least 10 years residing in Canada and no periods longer than six months out of country, is mandatory for obtaining a security clearance at the Secret level.
