Job summary

AlayaCare in Montreal is seeking a Manager, Software Development to lead one of our Cloud teams. You will coach engineers, shape technical direction, and foster a high-trust culture while delivering customer-facing features and reliable platforms.

This AI-first role emphasizes building scalable solutions for scheduling, clinical documentation, or billing, with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and impact for clinicians and patients.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with software development.
• 3+ years of people management experience in a technical industry.
• Experience building large-scale iOS and/or Android applications; familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS environments is a strong asset.
• Experience with AI-assisted development practices and guiding teams in adopting them thoughtfully.

Responsibilities

• Own the software delivery lifecycle end-to-end for your team, from technical design to deployment and operations.
• Lead by example in engineering standards, technical decisions, operational best practices, and quality ownership.
• Own the responsibility for quality regarding your team's deliverables, including test coverage, safe rollout and rollback, and clear production behavior ownership.
• Drive innovation, simplification, and technical excellence within your team; be technically capable to challenge designs and review changes.
