Job summary

LGI Healthcare Solutions in Montreal develops AI-powered administrative software for Quebec's healthcare network. We seek a senior software engineer who can learn quickly, deliver high-quality code, and collaborate across Scrum teams using AI-assisted development.

You will work with C/C++, C#/.NET, Oracle, Visual Studio, and Git, while following Law 25 and LSSSS guidelines to improve patient care through technology.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience developing in C/C++ and C#/.NET.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle databases (PL/SQL).
• Experience with Visual Studio 2022/2026.
• A fast, self-directed learner who adapts quickly as technologies evolve.
• Daily use of AI development tools, with measurable productivity gains.
• Experience using Git in a collaborative development environment.
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs (code, tests, docs).
• Genuine interest in complex systems and architectures; healthcare tech interest.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application modules using AI with C/C++, C#/.NET and Oracle (PL/SQL).
• Generate, validate, and improve unit tests with AI assistance.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation using AI tools.
• Participate in code reviews with a critical eye toward AI-generated code.
• Quickly understand existing codebase with AI to become productive rapidly.
• Develop AI-augmented features and contribute to AI model/integration design.
• Stay current on AI tools/models and share learnings with the team.
• Own deliverables from requirements through testing, docs, and production deployment.
• Adhere to Law 25 and LSSSS guidelines in the team process.
