Avanade’s AI Engineer role is responsible for developing scalable AI solutions aligned to a business strategy and benefits case. The role involves working as part of a team to impact real-world problems by delivering technical AI work. Responsibilities include:

• Understanding client needs and developing AI solutions
• Participating in all project phases: question formulation, design, development, testing
• Building predictive, prescriptive, or optimization models
• Communicating insights and strategies to stakeholders

Skills and Experiences:

• Experience with Machine Learning, analysis, and modeling of large datasets
• Proficiency in statistical analysis, forecasting, and optimization algorithms
• Knowledge of statistical modeling tools and cognitive analytics (text, image, video analytics)
• Proficiency in languages like Python, PySpark, R, SQL and tools like Databricks, Azure ML
• Software engineering experience with DevOps principles
• Good communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts
• Bonus: Experience with Azure or cloud platforms like AWS or GCP; ability to obtain Canadian security clearance; bilingual in English and French (preferred but not required)

About You:

• Degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, Engineering, or relevant field; or equivalent experience
• 2-3 years of experience in advanced analytics, preferably in consulting

• Customer onboarding and vetting
• Designing Proof of Concept and managing AI Studio governance
• Conducting customer satisfaction surveys and sharing insights
• Developing innovative data-driven solutions using advanced statistical and AI techniques
