Job summary

Sun Life invites students to join our DevOps campus program in Canada, gaining hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and AI-powered automation. You’ll collaborate with development and deployment teams, learning modern engineering workflows and CI/CD practices in an agile environment.

You’ll work on production support for a Java application, leveraging AI tools like GitHub Copilot to accelerate coding and improve reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
• Interest in AI-assisted development tools and applying AI to engineering problems.
• Knowledge of Docker images/containers and DevOps basics.

Responsibilities

• Work on a Java application to improve efficiency and provide production support using AI-assisted development tools.
• Work with Docker and deploy to Kubernetes/OpenShift using Jenkins pipelines with AI insights.
• Contribute to shift-left testing and generate maintainable documentation using AI tools.
• Explore AI/GenAI capabilities to automate DevOps tasks, analyze logs, and improve productivity.
• Support agile teams and developers in adopting DevOps tools and modern workflows.
