Job summary

AMD in Markham, Ontario, is seeking a hands-on engineer to design and verify diagnostics software for security IP across CPUs, GPUs, data center accelerators, and gaming consoles. You will design tests, debug issues, and collaborate with hardware teams to ensure robust pre-silicon and post-silicon validation.

You will use AI-based tools to accelerate test development, triage failures, and improve debugging workflows, with a strong emphasis on cryptographic engines and system-level integration.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in driver, embedded, or low-level software development with hardware collaboration.
• Proficient in C/C++ and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with Linux, device drivers or firmware development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop diagnostics software to bring up and validate security IP in pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
• Plan, write, debug, and optimize functional and stress tests for security hardware IP and cryptographic engines.
• Participate in silicon bring-up and multi-program execution across teams.
• Identify and resolve hardware, firmware, and ASIC issues; provide diagnostics support.
