Questrade Financial Group in Canada is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to define and own the full stack, lead solution design, and drive architectural decisions. This hands-on role requires writing code and shipping production-grade features alongside senior engineers.

You will use AI tools like Cursor and Claude daily, translate business problems into architectures, and collaborate with product leads across teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with leadership in technical initiatives.
• Strong hands-on command of TypeScript, React and React Native.
• Deep knowledge of Domain-Driven Design and Event-Driven Architecture.
• Excellent communication with engineers and product leads; able to translate requirements into architecture.
• In-person collaboration in North York three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution design and architectural reviews.
