Job summary

Purpose Unlimited is seeking a senior credit investor to lead differentiated credit theses, using AI-driven investment processes to move quickly and act with conviction. You will own select positions end-to-end—from underwriting to exit decisions—while surfacing alpha in high-yield and distressed credit within a dynamic portfolio.

The role demands strong judgment under uncertainty and collaboration with data-driven teams.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years in credit investing, leveraged finance, or investment banking with a track record of analytical ownership
• Deep fluency in high yield bonds, leveraged loans, and credit markets
• Demonstrated ability to build and stress-test financial models
• Judgment under uncertainty with defensible calls

Responsibilities

• Develop and defend differentiated credit theses with catalysts and risk/reward frameworks
• Exercise judgment at the intersection of data and uncertainty in stressed situations
• Build issuer relationships to surface information before it reaches the market
• Challenge AI outputs when your read diverges from the model
• Own select positions end-to-end: underwriting, monitoring, and exit decisions
• Develop clear theses with explicit catalysts and risk/reward frameworks
