Job summary

City of Richmond Hill is seeking a Manager AI and Digital Innovation to drive the City’s AI and digital innovation roadmap. You will lead discovery, design sessions, pilots and implementation planning across AI, automation and analytics to improve productivity and services.

You will partner with departments, governance teams and the Transformation Office to deliver secure, scalable solutions while ensuring responsible innovation and measurable benefits for residents and staff.

Qualifications

7–10 years of progressively responsible experience in technology, digital transformation, AI, automation, or related public-sector service improvement.
Strong knowledge of AI governance, privacy, cybersecurity, data governance and procurement.
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing across departments.

Responsibilities

Lead AI and digital innovation roadmap to improve productivity, service delivery and decision-making.
Turn emerging tech into practical solutions via discovery, pilots, and implementation planning.
Partner with departments to translate operational challenges into actionable tech solutions.
Communicate, train and build communities to drive adoption and measurable value.
Establish guardrails balancing speed with public trust and accountability.
Develop business cases, budgets, and vendor assessments to connect investments to outcomes.
Engage vendors, peers, and internal experts to scout trends and partnerships.
Coordinate cross-functional teams and track adoption, benefits and lessons learned.
