Job summary

Senpilot Inc. in Toronto, Canada, is seeking an AI Deployment Director to own deployments for utility clients, drive adoption, and scale playbooks across teams.

You’ll act as strategic advisor and hands-on technical resource, coordinating with client engineers and operations to activate workflows and resolve blockers in real time. This role requires travel, strong client management, and experience in consulting or technical customer success within a regulated energy landscape.

Qualifications

  • Experience in management consulting, venture, technical customer success, or generalist roles at a high-growth, tech-forward organization.
  • Strong communication and strategic planning, including ability to project manage configurations, build trust quickly, and rally executives or users around a vision.
  • Willingness to travel for on-site client engagements.
  • Comfort operating in a regulated industry like utilities or energy, or genuine excitement to learn it fast.
  • Strong customer instinct and empathy, including ability to talk to users, uncover their pain points and help solve them
  • Track record of moving from problem to shipped implementation in ambiguous environments, with comfort in ramping up on technical detail and prioritizing ruthlessly
  • Strong data analytics instincts: our product is built on ingesting and working with customer data, and your fluency with that data is how you build credibility with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Own the relationship and outcomes for a portfolio of utility clients, guiding them from onboarding through long-term adoption of Senpilot's AI agents.
  • Lead technical activation: configure workflows, validate data integrations, and troubleshoot issues directly alongside client engineering and operations teams.
  • Embed on-site during high-stakes windows, such as a go-live week or major workflow rollout, working hands-on with the client's team to resolve blockers in real time, accelerate adoption, and strengthen the relationship in person.
  • Train and enable end users, from field engineers to compliance teams, translating Senpilot's capabilities into concrete workflow changes.
  • Build and scale the playbooks, documentation, and self-serve resources behind your portfolio, so high-touch moments don't come at the expense of coverage across your accounts.
  • Monitor adoption, usage, and account health through data and direct client feedback, proactively flagging and resolving risk before it becomes churn.
  • Serve as the technical bridge between clients and Senpilot's product and engineering teams, surfacing integration gaps and feedback that shape the roadmap.
  • Turn utility stakeholders into internal champions for Senpilot.

Job description

Senpilot builds AI agents that help utilities operate smarter, faster, and more reliably, automating everything from engineering workflows to regulatory filings and compliance. Our mission is to create the intelligence layer for the modern grid: AI systems that understand utility data, reason across it, and act autonomously to improve safety, resilience, and efficiency.

We are building production‑grade intelligence that sits at the heart of how critical infrastructure is planned, monitored, and regulated, helping utilities unlock the next generation of reliability.

Joining Senpilot means joining a small, high-performance team that combines deep expertise in AI systems, data engineering, and energy infrastructure. We focus on generating value and we run toward the hard problems because that's where the value is. If you want to join a fast‑growing team and help build the future of intelligent infrastructure, this is the place to do it.

The Role

Agent deployment is how Senpilot turns a signed contract into a utility that actually runs on AI. As an AI Deployment Director, you'll own the team's hardest problems: getting deployments live, driving adoption, and building the playbooks that let this function scale. This includes owning the relationship for a portfolio of utility clients, guiding them from initial activation through long‑term adoption of Senpilot's AI agents.

You’ll operate as both a strategic advisor and a hands‑on technical resource, equally comfortable configuring workflows and troubleshooting integrations as running a business review. For key moments, go‑lives, major rollouts, high‑stakes client conversation, you'll be on the ground with the client. This is a rare opportunity to define how utilities embed AI into their core engineering, regulatory, and customer workflows.

What you’ll do
  • Own the relationship and outcomes for a portfolio of utility clients, guiding them from onboarding through long‑term adoption of Senpilot's AI agents.
  • Lead technical activation: configure workflows, validate data integrations, and troubleshoot issues directly alongside client engineering and operations teams.
  • Embed on‑site during high‑stakes windows, such as a go‑live week or major workflow rollout, working hands‑on with the client's team to resolve blockers in real time, accelerate adoption, and strengthen the relationship in person.
  • Train and enable end users, from field engineers to compliance teams, translating Senpilot's capabilities into concrete workflow changes.
  • Build and scale the playbooks, documentation, and self‑serve resources behind your portfolio, so high‑touch moments don't come at the expense of coverage across your accounts.
What you’ll bring
  • Experience in management consulting, venture, technical customer success, or generalist roles at a high‑growth, tech‑forward organization.
  • Strong communication and strategic planning, including ability to project manage configurations, build trust quickly, and rally a room of executives or users around a vision
  • Willingness to travel for on‑site client engagements.
Work Location

We appreciate the flexibility of hybrid work, and we also value the energy that comes from being in the same room. Our team gathers at our office in downtown Toronto up to three times a week when not travelling. If you're able to join us in person on those days, we'd love to hear from you. This role also includes travel to client sites for activations, key milestones, and on‑the‑ground support.

What is in for you
  • Competitive Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this role in Canada is $140,000 CAD - $190,000 CAD with most new hires joining near the midpoint. Actual salaries may vary within the range, or above or below it, based on factors such as experience, skills, location, and business needs.
  • Equity
  • Comprehensive health benefits from day one, for you and your dependents
  • Time Off: 20 vacation days + 5 flex days around EOY holidays
