Job summary

CIRO, Canada's self-regulatory organization for the investment industry, is seeking a Business Process Engineer, Innovation, to join the AI & Automation Centre of Excellence. This full-time role supports intake assessment, requirements clarity, and the successful delivery and adoption of AI and automation initiatives across CIRO.

You will map current-state workflows, work with cross-functional teams, and translate needs into actionable requirements and documentation.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in business process analysis or related field.
Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, operations, finance, or related field.
Experience supporting AI, automation, workflow, or data initiatives.
Ability to document current-state and future-state processes and define clear requirements.
Experience working with cross-functional teams on process redesign or tech-enabled change.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as the COE’s dedicated business process resource for AI and automation opportunities.
Clarify business problems, outcomes, and data needs with the Director of Innovation.
Map current-state workflows, data flows, and hand-offs to identify gaps.
Define future-state processes and prepare teams for COE-led delivery.
Translate needs into clear requirements, user stories, and documentation.
Act as the bridge between business, COE, IT and ePMO to manage dependencies.
Assess whether opportunities require process redesign or larger tech projects.
Analyze process data and baselines to support benefit tracking.
Maintain COE documentation and post-implementation metrics.
