We’re seeking a Lead Software Engineer to design, build, and own our next-generation technology platform—covering everything from autonomous deal scouting and AI-driven diligence to research augmentation and real-time portfolio monitoring.

You’ll operate at the forefront of emerging technologies : prototyping with the latest agent architectures, experimenting with advanced LLM toolchains, and translating bold ideas into production-grade systems. Our long-term vision is for you to launch and oversee a fleet of autonomous agents that work hand-in-hand with our investment team, elevating both the speed and quality of decisions.

Responsibilities

• Software & Agent Architecture

o Design, build, and evolve a modular platform of autonomous agents that drive deal scouting, AI-powered diligence, research augmentation, and real-time portfolio monitoring.

o Own the full software lifecycle—from rapid prototype to production deployment—and set the technical roadmap for future iterations.

• Technology Research & Innovation

o Continuously scout emerging AI / ML models, agent frameworks, and developer tools; rapidly prototype and integrate the best ideas to keep BoxOne at the frontier of augmented decision-making.

o Establish lightweight experimentation pipelines and success metrics.

• Workflow Automation

o Map the end-to-end investment process (origination → diligence → monitoring) and automate repetitive or low-value steps through intelligent orchestration and system integrations.

o Build resilient data pipelines that move information seamlessly between agents, internal databases, and external APIs.

• Data Infrastructure & Insights

o Develop analytics services and dashboards that surface real-time signals on market trends, company performance, and agent activity to support faster, higher-conviction decisions.

o Maintain rigorous data-quality controls, provenance tracking, and auditability.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Enablement

o Partner closely with investors, venture partners, and incubation teams to translate their needs into elegant technical solutions.

o Document, demo, and train colleagues on new tools to accelerate adoption and foster a culture of technical curiosity.

• Venture Development

o Advise on technical diligence on early-stage AI / ML and software companies and provide clear investment recommendations.

Requirements

• Educational Background : A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Relevant Experience : Proven experience in software development, with a portfolio of completed projects.
• Technical Skills :

o Strong proficiency in programming languages and frameworks relevant to the role.

o Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.

o Familiarity with investment and financial concepts is a plus.
