Job summary

ADAMA Canada is seeking an Agronomy Manager to lead the Development and Technical Sales Agronomy teams, oversee field trials, and deliver evidence-based product advancement from pipeline to commercialization. The role reports to the Portfolio Manager and requires travel to North America as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in agricultural life sciences and at least 15 years in the agriculture industry, with strong leadership, strategic thinking, and deep agronomy

Qualifications

  • University Degree in agricultural life sciences such as plant pathology, entomology, horticulture, weed science, and agronomy.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience within the Ag industry.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the Development and Technical Sales Agronomy teams.
  • Oversee the field trials and screening of our pipeline products.
  • Deliver the reasons to believe trials as we move products from pipeline to commercial status (Research Authorizations and Multiproduct Comparisons).
  • Facilitate the sharing of technical knowledge for successful new product launches.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Regulatory, Demand Creation, and Sales Management to build a team approach to selling solutions-based products.
  • Collaborate with team members, customers, academics and Global Product Development Team to build a pipeline of relevant and differentiated product concepts that address customer needs.
  • Lead Agronomy based industry solutions: Resistance Management, Spray technology & Active Ingredients.
  • Champion compliance and safety.
  • Manage resources and investment effectively.

In this key role, the Agronomy Manager will lead a team responsible for the transfer of knowledge and technical expertise of our pipeline as we progress through the stages of product research, development, and commercialization.

This role reports to the Portfolio Manager and is located in Canada. If the successful candidate is located outside of the Head Office location of Winnipeg, Manitoba, periodic travel to the Head Office is expected.
