Job summary

Simplot Canada (II) Limited is inviting students enrolled in post-secondary education to join our Grower Solutions team in Chin AB for peak-season operations, transitioning into Agronomy duties later in the season. The role emphasizes hands-on retail operations, seed handling, inventory, and field testing support.

The position provides exposure to agronomy practices through the agPROVE Trial Program and role shadowing with Account Managers and AG Innovation Leads.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in post-secondary education.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• Manual dexterity and manual labour.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and executing product movement and organization.
• Assist in loading and unloading of product from customers and suppliers.
• Assist operations employees with various tasks, especially in busy season and when a customer needs to be served.
• Assist in treating seed, as required.
• Conduct inventory counts twice a week.
• Complete loadout tickets for customers on every transaction.
• Maintain clean and tidy yard including mowing grass, clearing garbage, levelling gravel, etc.
