Job summary

Richardson International Limited is seeking an Agronomic Specialist for our Richardson Pioneer Ag Business Centre in Stirling, AB. You will visit producers' farms, provide soil testing and agronomic recommendations, and develop location-specific demonstrations to support customers and grow the business.

Ideal candidates hold an Agriculture degree or diploma, possess agronomic experience, and have strong communication and organizational skills; eligibility for Agrologist or Crop Advisor

Qualifications

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Agriculture is required.
  • Relevant agronomic experience is required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Possess or be willing to obtain a Professional Agrologist or Technical Agrologist designation and/or a Certified Crop Advisor Designation.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Visit producers on their farms and identify agronomy and crop production needs to increase sales and location profitability.
  • Provide agronomic services such as soil testing and product recommendations.
  • Develop location and company-specific trial demonstrations and tours with customers.

  • Provide agronomic services such as soil testing and recommendation of crop products
  • Develop location and company specific trial demonstrations and tours with customers.

  • Relevant related agronomic experience is required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
