Job summary

Richardson International’s Richardson Pioneer division is seeking an Agronomic Solutions professional at the Bow Island, AB location. You will work with farmers, provide soil testing, crop product recommendations and agronomic services to grow sales and support the local agronomy team.

The ideal candidate holds a post-secondary degree in Agriculture and has agronomic experience, with professional designation as a possible plus. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a post-secondary degree or diploma in Agriculture.
• Relevant agronomic experience is required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Willing to obtain Professional/Technical Agrologist designation or Certified Crop Advisor designation.

Responsibilities

• Visit producers on farms to identify agronomy and crop production needs and contribute to sales and profitability.
• Provide agronomic services such as soil testing and product recommendations.
• Develop opportunities for live demonstrations and tours with customers.

This role will contribute to the overall success of our customers and our business - you are the one who our customers and location staff rely on for agronomic solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Visit producers on their farms and identify their agricultural needs specific to agronomy and crop production, contributing to increased sales volumes and overall location profitability
• Provide agronomic services such as soil testing and recommendation of crop products
• Develop opportunities for live demonstrations and tours with customers

Qualifications:

• A post-secondary degree or diploma in Agriculture is required
• Relevant related agronomic experience is required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Possess or be willing to obtain a Professional Agrologist or Technical Agrologist designation and/or a Certified Crop Advisor Designation
• A valid driver’s license is required
