We are currently seeking qualified instructors to teach in the Niitsitapi Basic Science and Agriculture/Environmental Science Programs at the Standoff main campus to teach the following courses:
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Niitsitapi Agriculture Diploma Program is a two-year program comprising 20 courses (60 credits) in Agricultural Production (Agronomy & Animal Science) and Agricultural Business Management. The Red Crow Community Agriculture diploma program is recognized by the Alberta Institute of Agrologists and the Canadian Association of Diploma in Agriculture Programs (CADAP). Built on the Blackfoot ways of knowing, Kaahsinooniksi (Elders) play a significant role in the program and will collaborate with the instructors throughout it.
The instructors will be responsible for developing and submitting course outlines and delivering learning objectives that align with the Blackfoot culture. Instruction will enhance student’s skills, knowledge, and understanding through the efficient and timely preparation and delivery of lectures, tutorials, demonstrations, and workshops. The instructors will evaluate and grade student work promptly using measurable criteria. The instructors will be prepared to present course material on the assigned days of instruction for 39 hours per semester. Days and times are to be determined.
