Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies in Lethbridge, AB, is seeking an Agriculture (John Deere) Resident Heavy Equipment Technician, based in Lethbridge and reporting to the Pincher Creek, AB branch. This role repairs and maintains construction and forestry equipment and attachments in a shop environment.

You will diagnose, repair and maintain tractors, hay tools, and other Ag & Turf equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical, and precision ag systems.

Qualifications

• Heavy Equipment Technician or Agriculture Equipment Technician certification an asset.
• Apprentices registered under this trade will be considered.
• Field tech or road tech experience is a plus.
• Strong problem solving and computer skills.
• Experience diagnosing, repairing and maintaining equipment.
• Ability to complete detailed repair order notes.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, Repair & Maintain all systems on agricultural equipment such as Tractors, Hay tools, and other Ag & Turf implements.
• Repair, Service and/or diagnose agriculture equipment at the customers site IF needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections; including fluid and various filter changes, testing of equipment, & adjustments for infield optimization.
• Reconditioning of pre-owned equipment.
• Accurately record notes on work orders for customer and warranty records.

Brandt is currently seeking an Agriculture (John Deere) Resident Heavy Equipment Technician based in Lethbridge, reporting to the our Pincher Creek, AB branch. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry based equipment and attachments in a shop environment.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Repair, Service and/or diagnose agriculture equipment at the customers site IF needed

• Accurately record notes on work orders for customer and warranty records.

What We Look For

• Heavy Equipment Technician or Agriculture Equipment Technician certification an asset
• We will also consider apprentices that are registered under this trade too!
• Previous field tech or road tech experience would be a plus
• Basic to above-average computer skills and a passion for problem solving
• Experience in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining equipment.
• Ability to complete detailed repair order notes on each job
• The desire to continue learning updated equipment technology as the industry continues to evolve
