Green Diamond Equipment in Stratford, PEI is seeking an Agricultural Equipment Technician (Mechanic) to join our Stratford team. You will independently perform diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on customer and dealer-owned agricultural equipment and implements, under direction from the Service Manager.

The role requires at least 2 years of repair experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license; Diesel Red Seal or Apprenticeship is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience performing service repairs.
• High school certificate required.
• Diesel Mechanic Red Seal Certification and/or Apprenticeship preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Forklift license an asset.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment and Precision Ag products.
• Diagnose faults using computerized testing equipment.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
• Perform routine maintenance and lubrication on equipment.
• Collaborate with other departments as directed by the Service Manager.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and adhere to safety rules.

We're currently seeking a dedicated Agricultural Equipment Technician (Mechanic) to join our Stratford, PEI team.

Purpose:

Independently performs basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural equipment and implements. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment and established Precision Ag products
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
• May attach components and adjust new farm equipment
• Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge, must be willing to travel
• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
• Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
• Work with other departments as directed by your Service Manager
• Encourage and support teamwork, workplace safety and cooperative fun work environment

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

• 2+ years of experience performing service repairs required
• High school certificate required.
• Diesel Mechanic Red Seal Certification and/or Apprenticeship preferred
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Forklift license an asset.
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment
• Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment
• Ability to use basic computer functions
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
• Proficient oral and written communication skills
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
