Job summary

A leading project management firm is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for a 12-month remote contract with occasional travel to Fredericton. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in IT project management, particularly in the Government/Public sector and education. You will lead Agile delivery teams and be responsible for project success, utilizing Agile methodologies and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a project manager working on IT projects.
• Experience with Government/Public sector clients.
• Experience in Student Financial or Post Secondary Education institutions.
• 3 years of experience in full lifecycle delivery using Agile in the last 5 years.
• 5 years of experience leading cross-functional teams.
• 2 years in change management activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead Agile IT projects using Azure DevOps.
• Conduct daily standups and manage team backlogs.
• Support program increment planning and iterations.

Senior Project Manager

12 months contract- Remote with occasional travel to Fredericton

10+ years of experience as a project manager working on Information Technology projects.

Experience working with Government/Public sector clients.

Experience in Student Financial OR Post Secondary Education institutions

3 years of experience in full lifecycle delivery using Agile in the last 5 years

3 years of experience working as a Senior Agile IT Project Manager working in IT system development and support.

5 years of experience working with and leading cross functional business and technical teams that include a mix of in-house and external resources and stakeholders.

2 years of experience in change management activities - developing a plan outlining how the project organizational change will be managed.

5 years of experience in cost estimating, resource planning, reporting and project time management skills.

5 years of Demonstrate knowledge of IT system concepts and how they impact business processes.

Current Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or PRINCE2 designation.

2 years of experience as a project manager in life cycle delivery using Agile supported by Azure DevOps to lead team activities, such as daily standups, program increment (PI) planning, iteration/sprint planning, conducting retrospectives, administration of team backlogs, collaboration with product owners, and removal of impediments to success for the team

Demonstrate use of effective communication and how it impacted project success.

2 years of experience as a SCRUM master.
