Job summary

A provincial government client in Toronto is seeking an Agile Coach who will guide the Chief Information Officer in developing an agile framework. You will assist with expanding agile practices and managing organizational change. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience transitioning from traditional project methodologies to agile, and is certified as a Scrum Master. This contract offers a hybrid work arrangement with a significant remote component.

Overview

Scrum Master – Agile Methodology Framework

Contract – 3.4 months to start

Downtown Toronto – 90% remote; 10% hybrid for in person meetings

Our provincial government client requires an agile coach that can guide the Chief Information Officer - Project Management Office to develop an agile / hybrid framework, assist with expanding and formalizing the agile practice, and provide assistance with organizational change.

• Assist with expanding and formalizing the agile practice.
• Provide assistance with organizational change related to agile adoption.

Key Experience and Qualifications

1. 3-5 years’ experience transitioning traditional waterfall project methodology to agile / hybrid project methodology and creating agile framework for project team assessments.
2. Experience as an agile coach / ScrumMaster in a large organization with appropriate certification.

• SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) Certification
• SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM) Certification
• Disciplined Agile ScrumMaster (DASM)
• Disciplined Agile Coach (DAC)
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
• Certified Scrum Professional (CSP)
• PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)

Or equivalent.

3. Experience leading IT projects.

4. Experience with a variety of agile frameworks (e.g., Lean, Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile (SAFe))

Certified in any of the following :

• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) preferred
• PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI))
• Dynamic Systems Development Method (DSDM)
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Scrum Developer, Certified Scrum Trainer, Certified Scrum Coach and / or Certified Scrum Professional
• Certified Junior Agile Project Manager, Certified Agile Project Manager, Certified Senior Agile Project Manager, Certified International Project Manager, and Certified Agile Project Manager IAPM
• Associate or master’s Certificate in Agile Methodology
• Or equivalent certification.
