Your Opportunity :

We are looking for an experienced Agile Delivery Lead to be part of the evolution and enhancement of Integrated Business Applications [IBA] Delivery Teams. In addition to Agile experience, this position would require some Project Management knowledge and skills, as we have developed the need for a more enhanced role here in IBA.

The ideal candidate would have proven experience in both Agile (Scrum & Kanban) and traditional Scrum Project Management. This would require a successful history of utilizing Agile Software Development methodologies and tools, along with experience of having coached Agile methodologies, and a proficient degree of exposure to Project Management - scope management, managing project schedules, handling resource management, tracking a project to completion and facilitating effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.

This position will provide guidance, direction, and coaching to the team(s) to encourage the adoption of our Solution Delivery Framework (based on Disciplined Agile practices), work with the team at varying levels of maturity, empowering teams to become self-directed and self-managing. You can make a difference by helping drive solutions that help increase team and employee satisfaction and company success. In addition to acting as an agile coach this position will help lead some teams of their own.

The successful candidate can be based in any of our Stantec offices or remote within Canada.

Key Responsibilities :

Facilitating Agile Processes : Ensure the team follows the most appropriate agile practices for their context

Removing Impediments : Actively work to remove obstacles that hinder the team's progress

Fostering Continuous Improvement : Encourage experimentation and learning to help the team adapt and evolve their processes

Creating a Trustful Environment : Build a culture of collaboration, self-organization, and accountability within the team

Facilitating Team Meetings : Lead daily coordination meetings, iteration planning, and reviews

Providing Visibility : Maintain the team's project board(s) and ensure transparency of work-in-progress

Supporting the Product Owner : Assist in developing the product backlog and ensure alignment on goals and expectations

Cross Team Collaboration : Promote and support cross team collaborations to manage value stream dependencies

Project Management : Effective management of a project’s scope, risk, resources, stakeholders and time, using effective communication and taking the initiative to lead

Resource Management : Effectively the demand for your teams with their capacity in collaboration with Project Managers and cross-team projects.

Your Capabilities & Credentials :

Leadership : Ability to guide and mentor team members

Communication : Effective communication with both internal team members and external stakeholders

Problem-Solving : Proactively address issues and find solutions

Agile Knowledge : Deep understanding of various agile practices and methodologies

Experience : Proven experience as a Disciplined Agile Practitioner or similar role, along with Project Management exposure

Certifications : ACP, DASM, DASSM and PMP certification is an asset

Multiple Teams : Experience working in complex, multi-project, multi-team environments

Confidentiality : Able to discreetly work with confidential information

Tools : Preferred experience in using JIRA, Confluence, SPM [Service Now]

Development : A passion and commitment to your own personal development

Education & Experience :

Post-secondary degree : Ideally related to Information Technology or Management Information Systems

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related position

Pay Transparency : In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
