WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Leading a team of Site Supervisors and/or Hourly employees, you will direct production operations for specific CBM Aggregate plants to ensure efficient resource utilization, in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Ensure compliance with Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Environment, and Ministry of Natural Resources legislation and regulations. Implement training, administration, and compliance with applicable Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Develop and supervise plans for efficient use of raw materials, machinery, and personnel. Develop work processes and utilize SAP systems to meet or exceed company goals, objectives, and financial targets. Review production costs and product quality, and adjust production and inventory control programs to maintain profitable operations. Supervise the production and storage of aggregate products according to policies established by the Regional Manager.
- Review mining sequences, assist in mine planning, recommend budget requests and capital requirements, and monitor large projects through completion. Approve expenditures within defined parameters.
- Source and secure quotes for maintenance materials for processing plants and mobile equipment.
- Troubleshoot plant processes to identify improvements. Analyze operational data (e.g., Hobolink, KPIs, equipment reports) and develop appropriate actions.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory or managerial experience.
- Mechanical aptitude, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and knowledge of aggregate composition. Ability to interpret technical documents such as safety rules and maintenance instructions.
- Strong applied mathematical skills for calculating proportions, percentages, and volumes. Excellent reasoning skills for solving practical problems with multiple variables.
- Knowledge of aggregate processing practices, equipment, and specifications relevant to the construction industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
- Valid Ontario G driver's license, as daily site travel is required.
