Job summary

ISAAC is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst – Application Maintenance in Canada to support the technical support team by analyzing complex customer requests and applying testing methods to ensure quality standards.

You will work with QA and development teams to improve processes, analyze change requests and document test plans, ensuring upgrades are properly tested and deployed, while embodying ISAAC values in daily work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering, or equivalent training with experience.
  • 3–5 years in quality assurance or customer support at a software company or similar.
  • Good knowledge of programming (C#, Angular or similar) and Windows environment.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in French and English (oral and written).
  • Assets: Azure DevOps, scripting tools, .NET/C#, Agile methods.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate incidents through functional and code analysis to suggest solutions to development teams (mobile, web, back-end).
  • Support the technical support team as a go-to resource for incident management and improved resolution rates.
  • Analyze bugs, identify causes and prioritize them.
  • Develop, improve and run tests, and build validation tools.
  • Document test plans and update test cases reflecting fixes and new features.
  • Install, configure and test new versions of the software platform and upgrades.
  • Resolve issues with tests and tools developed.
  • Document defects clearly to speed up resolution.
  • Analyze software usage to recommend improvements and innovations.
  • Identify and fix system performance issues.
  • Gather feedback on QA processes to identify improvements.
  • Collaborate with QA and development teams to review test cases and change requests.
  • Align actions with ISAAC’s mission and values.

As a Quality Assurance Analyst – Application Maintenance, you support the technical support team in analyzing and handling complex customer requests. You help implement and apply testing methods to make sure we meet our quality standards, and you analyze change requests. You work with the quality assurance and development teams to improve processes. You embody ISAAC’s values and contribute to a positive work environment.

Success is measured by the quality of your diagnoses and tests, the clarity of your documentation, the relevance of your improvement recommendations and your ability to live ISAAC’s values in your daily work.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering, or other training combined with relevant experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in quality assurance or customer support at a software development or high-tech company, or other relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of programming (e.g., C#, Angular or another programming language) and of the Windows environment
  • Knowledge of SQL Server
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in French and English
  • Assets: experience with Azure DevOps, good knowledge of scripting tools (e.g., Windows PowerShell), knowledge of the .NET platform and the C# language, knowledge of Agile methodology
