Located at the eastern tip of the island, in a diverse population area, the Rivière-des-Prairies - Pointe-aux-Trembles borough is experiencing significant growth. Its geographical location offers beautiful water views and numerous parks along the shores for enjoying stunning landscapes.

Your responsibilities

You will plan and coordinate various internal and external mandates related to tree and flower planting, sports field and playground maintenance, tree pruning and removal, and lawn mowing. You will support the foreman's team in deploying work tools and monitoring systems, develop dashboards for operational tracking, and intervene with different administrative units in project planning for horticulture and arboriculture activities. Specifically, you will:

  • Inspect construction sites (parks, streets, etc.) to ensure standards and specifications are met;
  • Assist in planning horticultural or arboricultural maintenance work and evaluate material and product needs;
  • Prepare files for claims regarding damages to trees during construction;
  • Inventory and order plants required for planting projects, keep inventory updated, and update standards, procedures, and regulations as needed;
  • Write reports and correspondence related to these activities, using various office, computer, and technological devices;
  • Define and control operations for lawn maintenance, including weed eradication, fertilization, surfacing, and recovery care;
  • Assist superiors in joint studies with other departments on park and street construction and development projects.
Candidate profile
  • Diploma in specialized college studies such as horticultural production technology, landscape techniques, ornamental horticulture marketing, forestry technology, or a relevant field;
  • At least 2 years of experience related to inspection, horticulture, arboriculture, and green space management or work planning;
  • Class 5 driver's license;
  • Health and safety certification for construction sites (ASP).
