Become a member of our credit management team and make a difference to our financial performance! Use your negotiating flair and analytical expertise to manage customer accounts and meet a variety of challenges, in a dynamic working environment.

Your role:

  • Ensure that the company credit policy and procedures are respected and followed
  • Approve credit applications within company guidelines
  • Re-evaluate the accounts credit limit as needed
  • Put any delinquent accounts on credit hold when necessary
  • Collect past due receivables for assigned accounts
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and follow up with customer
  • Work with Sales representatives and Store Managers when collection assistance is required
  • Consult with immediate supervisor for situations such as bankruptcy, application of liens and legal action
  • Work as part of a team with other Credit Administrators and participate in various related projects
  • Participate in all other related tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department

What we're looking for:

  • College diploma in administration or in a related field
  • 3 years' experience in a similar position
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English – English will be main language used in the work environment as assigned customers are in the western provinces
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid judgement and strong analytical skills to make sound decisions
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and be team oriented
  • Excellent skills with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Knowledge of the construction industry will be considered as an asset
