As the next ATB Agent, you are a leader and innovator in your community. You're a creative problem solver with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for making a difference through your work. ATB Agents are independent contractors who run their Agency like it’s their own business. As such, it is your direct responsibility to increase revenue and profitability by providing face-to-face core banking services to ATB clients in your community. This involves working with your team to actively engage new opportunities with clients to support them in their financial goals by aligning their needs with the right products, solutions and experts.

As an Agent, you are an advocate for your clients, and are dedicated to creating a remarkable ATB client experience by acquiring, deepening and retaining personal and business relationships. You will gain a defined understanding of what a seamless client experience looks and feels like, to ensure your clients have an exceptional experience from beginning to end by courageously advancing the future of ATB.

Agency Owner Accountabilities:

Leadership:

  • Identify skills and potential in agency team members and new hires, and provide mentorship to develop talent skill sets and enable career growth.
  • Be an ambassador for the adoption of new and existing digital tools, technology and resources to help make it possible for our clients in line with our 2030 strategy.
  • Regularly connect within the Agency ecosystem utilizing peer to peer knowledge.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Liaise with internal partners (Everyday Financial Services (EFS), ATB Business and Wealth, and other Agents, agency employees and ATB team members) to ensure optimal client service is maintained.
  • Make decisions based on your market and community, and develop plans to increase your client base.
  • Have strong negotiation and relationship building skills.

Agency Operations:

  • Make data based decisions to generate revenue and achieve individual and team goals, while contributing to sales strategy for the Agency and Organization.
  • Agile and adaptable to a fast paced business environment
  • Strong risk mitigation attributes while also fulfilling compliance and regulatory requirements regularly.

Customer Service:

  • Growth mindset to develop and implement new and better ways of doing things, and push the limits of standard banking practices by thoroughly re-imagining the client experience.
  • Enable clients by educating them on ATB’s self-serve banking options.
  • Adapt to changing client preferences and support needs, including self-service options, to ensure consistent delivery of exceptional customer service.

Requirements

As the ideal candidate you possess:

  • High School diploma, preferably supplemented by post-secondary business courses or equivalent experience.
  • Strong collaborator and a desire to work within a team.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and creative, out-of-the-box solutions.
  • Knowledge of personal lending services and products is desired
  • Preference will be given to applicants with financial services knowledge and experience.
  • Strong communication skills in an in-person or virtual environment.
