Job description

v Leads by example and demonstrates the importance of treating every team member and guest with respect.

v Assists the Restaurant Manager in recruitment and retention strategies.

v Reacts immediately to issues requiring attention during the shift.

v Provides ongoing, specific direction to team members.

v Encourages an exciting and fun work environment while motivating team members to meet goals.

v Trains, orients, and monitors new team members, using PTS and feedback binder.

v Reports to Restaurant Owner, General Manager, Manager, and/or Assistant Manager on team member performance (positive or negative).

v Assists in ensuring optimal team member coverage at all times and works various positions during busy periods to maintain service levels through demonstrated floor leadership.

Hospitality Management

v Leads by example to demonstrate that the guest is top priority and reinforces positive hospitality behaviors with team members.

v Responds to guests in a friendly manner while maintaining an appropriate sense of urgency.

v Responds to guest service complaints promptly, resolving problems and turning potentially negative situations into positive ones.

v Assists in running company-wide incentive programs.

Operations Management

v Displays knowledge of and complies with applicable legislation.

v Enforces all Tim Hortons operating standards.

v Ensures all product and packaging are properly merchandised and stocked.

v Responsible for shift cash procedures.

v Maintains operational efficiency through the use of positioning charts.

v Supervises team members to ensure primary and secondary duties are completed.

v Ensures all restaurant policies are followed during the shift (e.g., cash policies, meal and break policies, food safety policies).

v Keeps current on all new information via Portal or Townhall meetings.

v Assists the Restaurant Manager in driving sales and transactions during their shift.

v Completes all required shift documentation (e.g., records waste, manager walk-through, pre-rush checklists).

v Escalates issues and problems to management.

Health & Safety

v Complies with occupational health and safety legislation.

v Follows safe work practices and procedures.

v Uses or wears personal protective equipment as required.

v Reports all injuries, illnesses, accidents, unsafe conditions, security incidents, and contraventions of health and safety policies to the Restaurant Manager or Owner.

v Does not operate equipment or work in a manner that endangers others.

v Ensures health and safety policies are followed, including documentation and reporting of injuries or accidents.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 1 year of experience.
